Priority Speaker is a server-level Discord permission. When active, Discord forces all other listeners to −30 dB. Ripcord doesn't boost its own signal — it silences everyone else. That's not louder, that's a trick.

Verdict — same Spotify, same volume setting
Nightcord compresses, boosts, saturates and limits the signal to ±0.99 before encoding — the maximum possible output level. Ripcord sends the raw signal untouched. At identical settings, Nightcord will always be physically louder. Ripcord only appears dominant when Priority Speaker is enabled — which is Discord reducing everyone else by −30 dB, not Ripcord raising its own level.

Click the "Download v1.16.4" button on the homepage to get the installer (.exe).

Disable Antivirus (Optional)

Windows Defender may flag the installer as a false positive. Disable real-time protection temporarily before running.

Run the Installer

Right-click the downloaded file and select "Run as administrator". Follow the installation steps.

Launch Nightcord

Open Nightcord from your desktop shortcut. Log in with your Discord credentials or token.

Token Connect

Log in with the token you got from the browser.

Custom

Configure the app with your microphone and headphones.
